I found this gem on Facebook Marketplace for a great price at the time, prices for cars were still on a high post Covid. It was a little rough around the edges, having seen many many Kombis in my Grandads yard, I had a small idea of what I was getting myself into and from what I could see it was a good solid base to start with.

It was a little rough around the edges, but those jelly beans were too good to pass up

We can see here, the previous owner had grand plans, started the tear down. But didn't quite get there
I had in my mind that I would want to buy a Kombi that I could work with. Something within my budget that I could do a lot of the work on myself. I found this gem and thought it was a good solid base to start with. I had always had in my mind that I wanted a blue Kombi, so when I found one in the original colour of Dulon wattle I knew blue was gone and DZDaisy was mine and the colour wouldn't be changing (Outside of some white dual-tone highlights).
